- Reasons for recommending:
This paper presents a novel model of upper-mantle flow for tectonic evolution of the North China Craton, in which the Mesozoic subduction of Pacific plate would result in fast and instable flow of the upper mantle underneath the eastern Asian continent. It provides a resolution to the hotly debated issue concerning the time and mechanism of the destruction of the North China Craton.
