This paper for the first time demonstrates a surprising role of Anaphase promoting Complex, APC/C in assembly of heterochromatin and silencing at mating type, centromere and rDNA loci in fission yeat.

Thanks for recommonding such a nice paper published by Dr. Jagmohan's Group. The findings are really surprising and open a new area of investigation about the synchronisation of cellular events of heterochromatin formation and chromosome seggregation mediated by Aaphase Promoting Complex APC/C.
