The manuscript describes the synthesis of the organic ligand L-cysteine ethyl ester hydrochloride (LEEH) capped HgTe NPs and the UV absorption and emission of these NPs. Colony PCR is an easy technique for quick screening of transformants and hence is used in many recombinant laboratories. However the major disadvantage is occurence of false positives. Though efforts have been done before to address this problem, but solution limits this technique by mandatory requirement of flanking vector oligos, which many a times is not possible.
